Dan Gerdeman is one of eight children. His Dad managed a grain elevator and his Mom was the mother that every kid in the neighborhood wished was theirs.
He was raised in North Baltimore, Ohio. Pop. 3000. He loves that town.
He is an award-winning artist and art educator. He teaches at Hilliard Davidson High School. Arguably, one of the finest art departments in the state of Ohio.
His major influences are Fontaine Fox, 1970's Marvel Comics, Stephen King, and his Mom and Dad.
His favorite things besides his family are: Pizza, Spike Lee Movies, Fishing, Original Cutting edge art and music, Fellini, AM Gold music from the 1970s, and post punk/new wave from the 80's.His work
centers largely around conversations, popular culture, flights of fancy, and imprints on
our psyche.

He is married to Judy Chesnut-Gerdeman. A costume designer, teacher, and jack of all trades.He is father to three children. Sullivan, Josephine, and Sophia. Both budding artists, astronauts, destruction experts, and whatever strikes them that day.
